I'm trying to mix things up a bit on Fashion-Train and I know how so many of you are really interested in all things beauty and make up. I'm always watching beauty videos and tutorials online and I've become obsessed with the Real Techniques brushes. They're so cheap, such good quality and they work miracles. I decided to add a couple more brushes to my collection.

Real Techniques Travel Essentials Set - HQ Hair
One thing I'd keep an eye on with the Real Techniques gift sets is how the price of them varies. Over christmas I remember seeing these brushes on Amazon for as low as £13. The prices of them online seem to change everyday from my research and I picked up my set on HQ Hair for only £16.06! With a discount code for 10% off with the code 'TEN' at the check out. This made these brushes a bargain as they were already in the sale down to £17.84 and then a further 10% off that was amazing!

Real Techniques Travel Essentials Set - HQ Hair
The set comes with an Essential Foundation Brush, Multi Task Brush and Domed shadow brush. I love the foundation brush for simple application as it's so quick and easy to use. My favourite brush from this collection is the Multi-Task Brush. The multi-task brush is amazing for powder coverage but works equally as well for bronzer and blusher. The domed shadow brush for eyeshadows. (I sometimes use this for concealer to!)

Real Techniques Travel Essentials Set - HQ Hair
I think this is essential set to add to your make up collection as it comes with a stand (as seen in the photos) perfect for travelling with and it's great to just carry around in your handbag if you're always touching up your make up on the go. It's a great little set as it sorts out your eyes and face!
Cheapest places to get this travel essentials set are HQ Hair,Amazon,Ebay and Feel Unique!
What do you think of this set? Do you like Real Techniques brushes?

It's been a good week so far and I'm super excited. You may have already seen here on Instagram that I passed my driving test this week! eeek! It's such a relief and I'm so excited to go out driving! I've also got an email through for a university interview which I'm super excited about to. So it's a good week all round! One thing I'm hating right now is I feel like I'm in a bit of a fashion rut so I think a shopping spree is much needed. One thing I seem to rely on is a good pair of patterned trousers and here's some favourites of mine I'd like to introduce you all too...
Cut-out Bralet Top - Missguided(*) (available in Blue & White)
Aztec Trousers - Missguided(*)
I've just seen on the website that the trousers are now £11.99 from £19.99 if that's not a bargain I'm not sure what is! I'd buy these trousers in a heartbeat again if I could. I love how great they can look dressed up or dressed down. I love how these look with a white oversized tee and a pair of boots for a day time look too.
Cut-out Bralet Top - Missguided(*) (available in Blue & White)
Aztec Trousers - Missguided(*)
For a night out I've teamed it up with my favourite Missguided bralet top which goes perfectly with a pair of printed trousers! I love how these trousers are high-waisted and so easy to wear. I think they'd be great during the summer with a simple jersey tee or crop top.

Aztec Trousers - Missguided(*)
Even for work I've been wearing these with an oversized jumper or a fluffy jumper with my coat or a leather jacket on top with a pair of ballet pumps. I just absolutely adore how versatile these trousers are and they're such a bargain and great piece to add to your wardrobe this year for £11.99!

What do you think of these trousers? How would you style them?

I think before I officially launch my beauty blog (it's work in progress) I'm going to do the occasional beauty post on Fashion-Train to see if you guys like them! I'm becoming more fascinated by beauty products and I have no idea. My favourite brand of beauty products at the moment seem to be Real Techniques.

Duo Fibre Limited Edition set by Real Techniques - Look Fantastic
I bought my duo fibre brushes online from a site called Look Fantastic and I got them here for £19.19 (instead of £23.99). When you make an account on Look Fantastic there's a welcome code for 20% off which is LF20NEW which made them an absolute bargain of a purchase.

Duo Fibre Limited Edition set by Real Techniques - Look Fantastic
These brushes were something I was unsure of buying for the past few months. I bought the expert face brush about a year ago now and having already got the Core Collection and the Starter Kit from a buy one get one half price Boots offer you could say I was a little obsessed with Real Techniques. I was really excited to try these out when they were released in November but what stopped me from purchasing them was the real mixture of reviews online about them. After reading various reviews I found that people either absolutely loved them or absolutely hated them and so it put me off buying them a little bit!
Duo Fibre Limited Edition set by Real Techniques - Look Fantastic
This set of brushes are so different to the typical Real Techniques brushes you can buy. There is a face brush, contour brush and eye brush. These brushes work with cream, powder or liquid and are supposed to help create an airbrushed finish. These bristles are quite sparse in comparison to the other brushes and that's because they're duo fibre and are made to create a more light weight and natural application.

I think they're a perfect set of brushes for the days where you don't want as higher coverage of make up and to go for the more 'natural' look. They're amazing if you're on of those girls who wears really natural make up all the time then these are a great investment. My favourite brush from the set is definitely the face brush as with the normal powder brush by Real Techniques I find it uses too much product and with having dry skin I don't need too much powder to set my make up. I find the face brush works perfectly!

What do you think of Real Techniques Brushes? Have you got any? Have you got the duo fibre collection?

One thing I seem to do a lot of is style my hair. I'm a massive fan of GHD straightners. I recently got these here at Argos and I love them. When it comes to hair straightening it seems to be that GHD is the only brand which comes to mind. They're used by millions across the world and in pretty much every salon in the country.

GHD Gold Classic Hair Straightners - Argos*
I already have a pair of Max stylers and I use them whenever I have to straighten my hair and have done for years. I'm on my second pair as the other ones died last year after having lasted over 4 years. They're such a great investment and the guarantee your hair will always look amazing!

GHD Gold Classic Hair Straightners - Argos*
I love how with this set it comes with a protective plate guard to for when you're finished with the straightners. It's so handy especially for when you travel with them too. I also love how this design is gold plated. It looks so sleek, so new and so stylish.

One thing I love to do with straightners is create waves with them. I find it quite difficult sometimes to curl or wave my hair with my Max Styler but with this straightner it's a piece of cake. You can create curls in seconds with these straightners and waves in even less. I love creating a more 'natural' looks with hair straightners.
What do you think of GHD's? Do you own a pair?

One thing I'd love to focus on this year is 'budget' type outfits. I think a good outfit should be inter changeable and that you can wear the items more than once. So this year I'm going to do a lot more outfits to do with finding good fashionable outfits on a budget! Starting with this combo which will cost you a little under £30 (with a student discount!)

Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
This bralet crop top is a firm favourite of mine and it genuinely goes with so many outfits and can really update your look. I love wearing this top with printed trousers as you can see in this post and it looks fab with high waisted jeans too. I hadn't worn this crop top with a skirt yet and I think it looks amazing with this skirt!
Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
I've teamed this outfit combination with my favourite lipstick from MAC which is lady danger! This is the perfect sort of outfit I'd wear on a night out and have worn on a night out and I've even worn this combination with nude tights and a pair of converse! It's a really comfortable outfit and I really like how not just this top but this skirt can be worn in so many different ways!
Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
I love the shape of this skirt and how it fits so well on. I love how it's only £14.99 too it's such a bargain! I think this skirt would look great with any plain coloured crop top but it would also look great during the day too with a blouse and an oversized coat for a day time look with a pair of ankle boots.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear this skirt?

It feels like ages since I've posted an outfit post. I decided that this year I was going to focus on more outfit posts and so here it starts! I've always been a fan of Rare London and I've noticed that recently they've got some really nice pieces in and so many nice Playsuits and Jumpsuits by Rare London including this jumpsuit which is only £35!
Lady Danger Lipstick by Mac - Debenhams
Black and Cream Silk Jersey Jumpsuit - Rare London(*)
Black wedges - Ebay (Similar Here)
I didn't think I'd love this jumpsuit as much as I do. It's such a gorgeous material and fits like a glove. I think this is the sort of piece you can add to your wardrobe and it will fit in well. I think it looks great with a bright red lipstick my favourite at the moment is Lady Danger by MAC (it's amazing!) and a pair of wedges. I think this is a bargain at only £35 and you can wear it in so many different ways!

I'd wear this during the day with a pair of chelsea boots and a leather jacket. To make this jumpsuit perfect for evening wear I'd put on a bright red lipstick and a pair of black heels or wedges! I think it's a great piece to wear on a lazy day too if you just want to feel that little bit more glamorous!

What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear this jumpsuit?

Uh oh it's that time of the year again when you open your wardrobe and you're just fed up with everything which is inside. Hands up who has done this recently?! I'm always into finding new ways to wear items I already own and I think this time of the year is good to make that small investment in an item or a couple of items you'll wear or use a lot in the coming months! (at least till spring is over anyway!)
So I thought I'd talk you all through a guide of which key items helped me through my first year of university (this could help with college too I'm just thinking about a student budget!) So I've picked out what would be my style essentials and which key items helped me last year!

Carmex Lip Balm (£2.49 from Missguided)
You can get this lip balm from pretty much any beauty shop/drug store and it's an absolute lifesaver. I seem to have one of these in pretty much all my handbags and I don't go anywhere without it. It's perfect to apply just before lipstick but also on the days you want soft lips without any lipstick on too!

Batiste Dry Shampoo (£2.99 from ASOS)
This product is every woman's saviour. I used to love a bit of dry shampoo after a night out if I got up late! I carry a small one of these in my handbag too for emergencies. You just spray a little at the root if you feel your hair is starting to get a little greasy and it works a treat!

Fur Collar Biker Jacket (£45 from Topshop)
So if you're looking for a stylish jacket which will last then this is your new baby! I have last years version of this jacket and I still wear this pretty much everyday and it's even started the rip at the sides (owh!) but that's a year on mind after some serious wear and tare! It's a real bargain this jacket for the amount of times you're going to wear it and it goes with every single flipping outfit imaginable! I used to live in this jacket especially travelling to and from university the only downside is that it doesn't have a hood!

Mac Lipsticks in Lady Danger & Ruby Woo (£15 from Debenhams)
I didn't think I'd love these lipsticks are much as I do. If you love a matte lipstick and bright lipsticks mac lipsticks are perfect for you. I think these two shades will completely transform your outfit and update a really simple outfit too. If you're having a bad day these lipsticks will certainly brighten up your mood! I know what you're thinking they're a little pricey but just think of how long they'll last you!

Converse White Trainers (£45 from ASOS)
These were my best cost per wear item while I was at university. I bought them with my student discount at schuh and thought oh my gosh £45 on a pair of trainers I don't even wear trainers?! But since that day I've worn them to death. I bought mine 2 years ago now and they've been washed numerous times and been worn on so many nights out so they're getting a little worse for wear now! I wore these a lot when I worked in retail as they're so comfy and they're the perfect pair of shoes if you're on your feet all day too travelling!

Black Joni Jeans (£36 from Topshop)
I always thought Topshop jeans were really overpriced. I don't know why I just did and really didn't think they were worth the money. But over the past couple of years I've found that a classic pair of Topshop jeans will go a long way. I love the 'Joni Jeans' at Topshop as they're classic, easy to wear and stylish. You can wear them during the day but also easily on a night out!

Multi Strap Boots (£45 from Topshop)
I've always found Topshop good for style staples and they have an amazing selection of boots. When I was fashion student I stuck to wearing only a few pairs of shoes and a pair of classic boots was one thing I loved. I love this pair from Topshop as they're on trend, good quality and they don't have a big heel so they're easy to wear. Just imagine how gorgeous these would look with a cute pair of frilled ankle socks...IMAGINE!

Red Fluffy Jumper (£34 from Topshop)
For the past few months fluffy jumpers have been my best friends. You may have seen me wearing a pink one with a leather skirt here and with tartan leggings and also my blue fluffy jumper with my pvc skirt here! I absolutely love this fluffy jumper trend. They look amazing with high-waisted trousers, leggings and jeans but also with skirts and even denim shorts too and they're a great cover up over a dress. I love my Missguided blue one but it's not as good quality as the one I have from Topshop which I've washed goodness knows how many times! So if you're going to purchase a fluffy jumper to add to your wardrobe it's worth splashing out a little on a Topshop one!

I really hope you've all liked this different style of blog post! What are your current student style essentials? What can't you go without at the moment? Let me know in the comments!
