University is pretty much just around the corner now! In just a couple of weeks I'm going to be at Univeristy and I've been packing my things and searching online for some new homeware bits I can buy to personalise my room a bit and make it a bit more of a home!
All these homeware pieces are under £15 which means they're really not breaking the bank! Tesco is great for homeware pieces. I love this floral duvet cover and think it would be perfect to make my uni room a little bit more girly! I've had my eye on these bowls for a while and they've gone down to just £6 in the sale. I've seen these wire heart baskets online and think they'd be perfect for storing perfumes and jewellery.
I've loved seeing jars like this on Pinterest and I've finally found this online! I can't wait to purchase one to make cocktails with while I'm at University. One thing I love having in my room is a diffuser to make my room smell nice and this berry flavoured one from Tesco seems perfect!
Are you going to University? What homeware purchases have you made lately?
If like me you're heading off to University this September I thought this would be an appropriate post for you all! I'm so excited to go back and study this September but also super excited to have my own space to have a new room and cook for myself again! I've found some gorgeous cheap homeware during my online browsing lately and just had to show you all what I'm lusting after!
A bright duvet is an easy way to update your uni room as it's most likely going to be quite plain and basic. This duvet is under £10 and is only £9.50 and will add a great pop of colour to any room. Last time I went to uni I made the mistake of having white bowls you can never work out which ones are yours! I can't wait to snap up these cereal bowls so nobody will mistake mine for there's (I hope!)
I'm addicted to Pinterest at the moment (You can follow me here) and these bowls are so cute and pinterest like and only £7.50! I also think the heart shaped chopping board is super cute! Lastly my favourite pick of all is this scrabble mug! Who else has always wanted a scrabble mug with your initial on?
Are you moving out soon? Which is your favourite pick?
One thing I'm loving at the moment and that's kimonos. I actually got this kimono way back in October when I wore it to Vogue's fashion night out. I absolutely loved it then and I still love it now. Especially now it's sunny! This exact kimono is out of stock but I have found similar ones here and here. I think kimonos are a great way to change an outfit and they are so versatile too.
I've paired this kimono with one of my favourite tops at the moment from Missguided which you've probably seen in a few blog post now. What's great about this top is that you can wear it during the day too especially when it's sunny! This top is only £10 and it comes in mint, pink, black and lots of other colours which you can check out here!
Pairing this outfit with jeans gives it a more casual day time look. If you didn't want to show off any flesh or if it just wasn't sunny enough I'd probably wear one of these tops from Miss Selfridge. I think the sandals give this outfit a real summery feel too!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like kimonos?
A weakness of mine will always be to buy things which are striped. No matter the trend no matter the time of year stripes will never be out of fashion!
Ever since I first bought this dress I knew I'd love it. I got this from Topshop and have worn this so many times! It's out of stock on Topshop but I've found similar versions to this dress here and here! I love wearing this dress with trainers, thick tights and chelsea boots but also with a statement necklace and a leather jacket.
It's been not too bad weather wise here in the UK. So I braved it with bare legs outside! I teamed this outfit with my favourite bright red lipstick Lady Danger and my new favourite purchase which are these trainer/slip ons from Topshop!
I really like this outfit and can't wait to wear this dress more this spring/summer. I think whenever I buy a striped item in my wardrobe it really does last well for years and can never look bad!
What do you think of striped clothes? How would you wear this dress?
