Flowers and Jar - Ikea
I've always got really excited about homeware. I love trips to Ikea, picking up bits to glam up my room and of course picking up quirky home pieces in TK Maxx. I was lucky enough to receive a gift card for when I was moving out for University to pick up some pieces to glam up my room (but also essentials too!)
Duvet, Pillows and Bottom Sheet - TK Maxx(*)
Duvet Cover - Bedeck(*)
Cushions - Ikea
As you can see my rooms quite girly! I picked up a few bits and pieces including a duvet, pillows, bath mat and a few pots and pans! I think TK Maxx is a great place to visit when you're looking for something new but unique. I'm a massive fan of TK Maxx but I can go there sometimes and not buy anything!
Bath Mat (used as rug) - TK Maxx(*)

Love Sign - Vintage
Purple Spotted Washi Tape (used to decorate the shelving) - Amazon

Clear Jar (With Make-up brushes in) - Muji
Scented Diffuser - TK Maxx(*)
Decorative Boxes - TK Maxx(*)

I was lucky enough to be gifted some of the new flavoured Lambrini flavours to try which are peach, strawberry and cherry. They are actually really nice and my favourite was definitely the peach one!
Being a fashion student I couldn't forget my fashion books! These are just a few of them. I love just sitting and having a cup of tea and grabbing some inspiration from these books!
So here we have it, a little sneak peak inside my university room thanks to TK Maxx for helping me out with making my room that little bit more homely!

Are you at University? Have you moved out for University lately?

Bag - Marc B
Time seems to be running away with me lately! But I've promised myself to blog whenever I can. Whether it's just making a list of blog ideas, compiling a wishlist or actually taking outfit photos! I've recently started university again and I've been searching for the perfect university bag and I've found it. It's another amazing Marc B bag!
Bag - Marc B
I've never once had any sort of fault with a Marc B bag, I absolutely love them! I find them perfect to carry around (and to use as carry-on luggage on planes) and they look so gorgeous too. I've had a few of these bags now and I alternate between them on a weekly basis as I really do love all the bags I have by Marc B! Since getting my first one a couple of years ago I've never left the house without one!

Bag - Marc B

I love the tan colour of this bag. I think it's the perfect sort of bag you'll need to carry all your things in through Autumn and Winter. It's extremely roomy inside too. I love how the Marc B trademark is the leopard print on the inside of the bag. I think it makes the bag much nicer to carry around during the day because the inside is pretty too! I've been carrying this bag around since I started uni last week and I'm so tempted to treat myself to a Marc B Purse too!

What do you think of Marc B bags? Do you have the perfect handbag?

I feel like I've neglected my blog a little lately as in the past week I've moved away for University! I've moved to Huddersfield and I'm really enjoying the university experience so far. It's been overwhelming but i've only been here just under 2 weeks and it's flown by! So I thought i'd put together a university style wishlist! Especially because in the next few weeks their will be 20% off student discount offers at all our favourite high-street stores!

Black Cami Top - River Island
Stripe Top - Topshop
Faux Leather Biker Jacket - Topshop
Willow Black Bag - Marc B
Blue Ripped Jeans - Topshop
Oversized Check Shirt - Topshop
Black Cut-Out Ankle Boots - River Island

So University for me is all about being stylish but comfortable. I don't think I'll ever understand why there's girls which turn up to lectures in 5 inch heels? I feel like I can never be separated from my trusty white converse at the moment. Especially since starting university again they are literally the only shoes on my feet!

So first on the list is this Black Cami Top. Black cami's are literally the ultimate style essential. You can wear them during the day but also so easily for a night-time look too. I love the detailing on this one too! During the day this would look great with blue ripped jeans (like these Topshop ones) and a pair of these black ankle boots!

A faux leather biker jacket like this one is another style essential. This is the sort of jacket you can wear day in, day out all year round. It's a great investment piece and will no doubt last you a couple of years! Ripped jeans are a massive trend this season and these  blue ripped jeans from Topshop are an absolute must! They'll go with everything and you can wear them on a night out with a black cami top and heels for a perfect but chilled night-time look.

Last but not least I think a style essential this season is to dig out your old tartan shirt (or buy this shiny new pretty one) to last you this Autumn/Winter. You can wear tartan shirts in so many ways but I think they look extra good unbuttoned with a white t-shirt underneath with black skinny jeans and a leather jacket on top!

What do you think of my university style essentials? What are your style essentials at the moment?

University is pretty much just around the corner now! In just a couple of weeks I'm going to be at Univeristy and I've been packing my things and searching online for some new homeware bits I can buy to personalise my room a bit and make it a bit more of a home!

All these homeware pieces are under £15 which means they're really not breaking the bank! Tesco is great for homeware pieces. I love this floral duvet cover and think it would be perfect to make my uni room a little bit more girly! I've had my eye on these bowls for a while and they've gone down to just £6 in the sale. I've seen these wire heart baskets online and think they'd be perfect for storing perfumes and jewellery.

I've loved seeing jars like this on Pinterest and I've finally found this online! I can't wait to purchase one to make cocktails with while I'm at University. One thing I love having in my room is a diffuser to make my room smell nice and this berry flavoured one from Tesco seems perfect!

Are you going to University? What homeware purchases have you made lately?

If like me you're heading off to University this September I thought this would be an appropriate post for you all! I'm so excited to go back and study this September but also super excited to have my own space to have a new room and cook for myself again! I've found some gorgeous cheap homeware during my online browsing lately and just had to show you all what I'm lusting after!

A bright duvet is an easy way to update your uni room as it's most likely going to be quite plain and basic. This duvet is under £10 and is only £9.50 and will add a great pop of colour to any room. Last time I went to uni I made the mistake of having white bowls you can never work out which ones are yours! I can't wait to snap up these cereal bowls so nobody will mistake mine for there's (I hope!)

I'm addicted to Pinterest at the moment (You can follow me here) and these bowls are so cute and pinterest like and only £7.50! I also think the heart shaped chopping board is super cute! Lastly my favourite pick of all is this scrabble mug! Who else has always wanted a scrabble mug with your initial on?

Are you moving out soon? Which is your favourite pick?

 Credit We Heart It
I had a sudden moment where I thought it would be a good idea to write a post like this. It's personal and a little in-sight into why I left University. If it helps just one of you guys I will be over the moon!

Going to university is a tough decision nowadays. It's hard when you are 17/18 to decide what you're going to do for the rest of your life and SO many people end up in jobs not related to their degrees. I from about 15 was completely against going to university. I didn't see myself going I didn't know what I'd want to do. But actually going round the university campuses changed my mind. I don't know how  I ended up in Birmingham or what made me pick there , but after getting great a-level results I ended up doing a fashion management course.

I had a bit of a rocky start but tried to remain as positive as possible. I had major surgery aswell in my first term of university which was really difficult! I then got a job in retail which I absolutely loved. It felt like my life was sorted. It was what I thought I wanted to do, go to uni, make news friends and get a retail job for a few years. After just a few weeks of working I ended up being in work more then I was at university and I just loved working! I was learning so much about retail (a side of fashion I hadn't really seen) and the people I worked with were lovely. Soon I was more used to working life then I was to student life and to be honest I preferred the working life. I enjoyed it a lot more and soon I realised I wasn't enjoying my course at all.

I stuck with it and worked hard because I thought it was the right thing to do. I started looking at my second choice for university and whether I could transfer but it was too late so I just carried on for the year as I didn't want to leave half way through. Speaking to other bloggers/people within the fashion industry about how I was feeling made me think about what to do. A lot of people just interned their way to the top, some dropped out of uni and started again so it was a lot to think about!

It was hard to think about my options if I did drop out. I spoke to PR companies about interning and started applying for retail jobs back home. One thing I knew for sure the last thing I wanted to do was go back to my current course and sit in that lecture theatre that following September. So I had to do something about it!

I spoke to my lecturer about taking a year out. I was finding it hard with my bad health, running my blog, the student life, working in a shop and my degree at the same time I was always so busy! I didn't know what exactly I was going to do but I knew something would sort out. After a couple of months interning I landed a job as a Marketing Assistant for a local High School and Sixth Form. I loved being able to use my social media and marketing skills in a different industry to what I'm used too! I thought if anything this would look great on my CV. I love my job and seeing my input change the school makes me feel all proud and like I've achieved something great!

Leaving university was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But lets put it this way. I would rather graduate from a course I really loved, a course that really benefitted my career at a later date if needs be. I want a degree but I didn't want to carry on with the course I was on. With £9,000 university fees a year and accommodation costs pretty high too university isn't cheap and it's a lot of money to waste if it's not what you really want to. As much as I love my current job I knew about 6 months into it I wanted to go and study again. I researched courses and universities and re-applied. I've been accepted onto the second year of a course which I think is way more suited to me and my personality and I'll be starting that this September!

So there's an insight for you about why I dropped out of university and I hope that was helpful to some of you which may be in a similar position to what I was in last year. It's so common people 'hating' their university course yet so little people do something about it! So here's my tips if you're thinking about leaving your university and a little more to think about.

1 - REALLY think about it. Leaving university is a massive decision and it's not something easy to do. Think about your options of what you'll do as soon as you leave. Do you have a job you can go to? Where are you going to live? and start applying for as many jobs as possible so hopefully you'll start earning money soon after you leave.

2 - Take a break. As weird as it sounds our family holiday to france was a real eye opener to me last summer. I was with one of my cousins who's the same age as me and he wouldn't stop talking about how great his university was, how proud he was to go there and how much he loved his course. So onto my next point...

3 - Are you proud of your degree? Do you want that degree written on your CV? Do you like your university? Well if you answered no to those questions you've pretty much made your mind up. In this day and age going to a 'Top' university is a big thing. You want your CV to stand out and you want to be proud of your degree and what you've achieved. I soon realised I wasn't proud of where I was and didn't want to write my degree on my CV!

4 - Happiness is a massive thing when being at university. Are you happy? Does your course/lifestyle make you happy? Have you settled in like you thought you would? If there's anything I've learnt it's to go with your gut. If where you currently are doesn't make you happy only YOU have the power to change that.

5 - Not everyone has everything figured out. Each year thousands of people drop out of the university course they started on. Don't be afraid to start a new course, do modules of a course you are more interested in or just switch courses at the university you are at to something more suited to you. Everyone realises what they want to do at a different time. You've just got to wait till yours.

I hope this post has opened your eyes about why people drop out and given you an insight to why I dropped out. I think it was one of the hardest things I ever did. It's been a very difficult year but I'm glad I've done it and re-applied to a course more suited to me. I can't wait to start my next journey!

What are your thoughts about university? Did you drop out of university? I'd love to know what you all think!
