It's actually been a nice day for once and so I thought It'd be a great idea to take a little outfit of the day! I'm lucky enough to live next to a gorgeous lake and so I love being able to go on walks. Always an excuse to wear wellingtons!
Hat - The North Circular(*)
Striped Crop Top - USC
Faux Fur Gilet - Missguided(*)I love days like this when it's not too cold and it's not too warm and you can go out in not too many layers! I've teamed this striped long sleeved top with my new faux fur gilet (it's the warmest thing ever) from Missguided. I love how faux fur gilets are really popular at the moment and they are so versatile too!

High-Waisted Velvet Leggings - Miss Selfridge(*)
Red Hunter Wellies - Blacks(*)I was recently contacted by the lovely people over at
Blacks to review a pair of hunter wellies and I was
BEYOND excited to have a new pair. I've always wanted a pair of red hunter wellies and now I have some I'm over the moon! I think wellies are perfect for Autumn/Winter and they're great for festivals, muddy walks and attempting to get to work in the snow! I love how this outfit looks together and I was nice and warm too!

High-Waisted Velvet Leggings - Miss Selfridge(*)
Red Hunter Wellies - Blacks(*)I can't wait to wear this gilet a lot more with a leather jacket or different coloured jumpers and leggings and jeans! I've teamed the gilet with my new high-waisted velvet leggings from Miss Selfridge which are so so comfy! I think to wear this gilet well a striped top looks great but a coloured jumper would look amazing too and you'd be twice as warm!
What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear hunters for Autumn/Winter? How would you wear a faux fur gilet?

I've never been to a black tie event (other than prom and weddings) so when I got the opportunity to go to New Look's winter wishes ball I really didn't know what to wear! With less than 24 hours notice me and Lucy ended up going to the event in gorgeous Motel gowns (Motel you are total babes for saving the day!) after a busy day at press days and fashion events we got changed and attempted to make ourselves look glam and headed off to the ball! Little did we know what exactly the rest of the evening would be like!

How amazing is this venue?! It was held at a place called Battersea Evolution in London and as soon as we stepped inside of the venue everything looked so posh and so nice!
Dress - Motel Rocks(*)Me and Lucy ended up going to the ball in matching Motel Rocks dresses (In different patterns) and the dresses were gorgeous and perfect for the event! I wore mine with my trusty black heels and one of my favourite necklaces from Topshop.

We then tucked into an amazing three course meal of Salmon for starters, Mushroom Croquettes and this was the pudding! It was far too sickly but look how yummy it looks!

We were sat by the boyband Kingsland Road who were just voted off the X-Factor last weekend (I wanted them or Rough Copy to win) who were really lovely and chatty and I was too happy to meet them!

Flawless (the dance group from Britains Got Talent) performed and they were amazing! The charity auction then took place. I was amazed by how much work New Look do for charity and it was amazing that so much money was raised during the evening too. Lucy even accidently bidded £3,500 on JLS tickets (this is what happens when you stick your hand up by accident! haha) which was really funny!

We then got to watch The Saturdays perform a set live which was amazing! They sang all their most popular songs and we were right at the front too! After a few glasses of wine and cocktails I was dancing away it was so good!

I had such an amazing evening at the ball! Ate lovely food, caught up with some fellow bloggers and met some new ones too! Thankyou so much to New Look for the invite and well done on all the money raised for The Princes Trust!
It was such an overwhelming evening but so much fun!
Have you ever been to a black tie event? Or a ball like this one? Let me know I would love to read your stories!

I've always been fixated by Alexa Chung's style. Ever since I first turned on T4 on a saturday morning I loved how she dressed. Over the years she's co-presented style shows such as 'Frock Me' and 'Gok's Fashion Fix' aswell as covered numerous fashion magazines, launched various lines and launched her own book 'IT'.
Happy 30th Birthday Alexa! She's also recently become the face (well hair) of L'Oreal and created an eye collection for Eyeko. Is there anything she can't do?! So I just thought I'd share with you some of my favourite looks from Alexa over the years and how you can steal her style for a fraction of the real price! (yay!)

I trawled through the internet in the early hours of this morning to find my ultimate favourite outfits by Alexa! I love each and every outfit and how she's wearing such simple items but they're style staples!

I love how she's worn kitten flats in numerous outfits and aren't they just adorable? I've found this version on Ebay for a small fraction of the price! Her shoes are really £465 by Charlotte Olympia (ouch!) Alexa's known for her love of dungarees and pinafore dresses and I love the acid wash one she's wearing in the photo. I think this Topshop one is a great way to recreate her look! Fluffy crop jumpers are
EVERYWHERE this season and I love how she's teamed one over a dress and how she's wearing one with a leather skirt. I definitely think this cream jumper is a perfect versatile item to add to your wardrobe this season!

One thing I have been doing lately is budgeting. It's a hard thing to get your head around and I suppose it only gets harder the older you get (paying bills, phonebills, rent etc)! I used to be quite careless with what clothes I bought with the money I earned but now I'm trying to be a lot better! I always love it when I find a bargain online and so I thought I'd put together a list of my autumn/winter fashion favourites which are £15 and under!
Stripe Bunny Scrunchie - Topshop

Plaid Knitted Leggings - Boohoo
Fedora Hat - Missguided
Checked Tee Shirt Dress - Boohoo

Bright Yellow Cami Top - River IslandI love scrunchies at the moment and they're a great way to accessorise an outfit. I love this one as it's striped! It kind of reminds me of the old days at school where you used to have your hair tied up in pigtails! I really really really
WANT this book! I'm one of those people which has to get all the fashion books which celebrities do and I find them fascinating! I think this will be a great read and I've added it to my must have list this christmas! I still haven't got a fedora hat and I'm not sure I suit them but how gorgeous is this Missguided one at £12.99?! I love oversized dresses and I love tartan so you really can't go wrong with this dress from Boohoo! I love a statement necklace and this one is so pretty! It's only £15 and it's the perfect sort of necklace to where with a plain jumpers and tops to make your outfit stand out! I'm still obsessed with cami tops and I have a couple of these from River Island. How beautiful is this bright yellow one for only £10?!

At the moment I seem to be loving tracking down some really gorgeous fashion bargains online! Don't you find that when you don't have much spare money you seem to love
EVERYTHING you see?! I've put together a little weekend wishlist of some of my fashion favourites online at the moment from various websites!
Red and Green Check Treggings - £28
Satin V Cami Top - £20
Velvet Skater Skirt - £32
Check Shift Dress - £20
River Island Cut-out boots - £45
Dogtooth High-Waisted Check Shorts - £18
Tartan Skort - £18I fell a little bit in love with these treggings! I saw them recently in an Outfit store and they were styled with
this jumper and
these boots. I thought it was a perfect outfit and teamed with a jacket like
this one! I still love a cami top and this orange coloured one is gorgeous! I've noticed there's a lot of velvet around now possibly because it's winter and that Topshop have some amazing velvet items in! I definitely think a velvet skirt is perfect for any wardrobe this season. If there's anything I'm loving this season and that's tartan. How amazing is this shift dress?! It's perfect for a day at the office, for a day look with a chunky pair of cut-out boots and thick tights and teamed with an oversized jacket. I was obsessed with dogtooth print this time last year and I'm glad the trend is slowly creeping back in. I love how gorgeous and cheap these shorts are from River Island! I think it's great how the skort trend has carried on this season as skorts are SO SO comfy. This checkered one is just to die for!
What do you think of these items? Which would you add to your wishlist?
