One thing I seem to do a lot of is style my hair. I'm a massive fan of GHD straightners. I recently got these here at Argos and I love them. When it comes to hair straightening it seems to be that GHD is the only brand which comes to mind. They're used by millions across the world and in pretty much every salon in the country.

GHD Gold Classic Hair Straightners - Argos*
I already have a pair of Max stylers and I use them whenever I have to straighten my hair and have done for years. I'm on my second pair as the other ones died last year after having lasted over 4 years. They're such a great investment and the guarantee your hair will always look amazing!

GHD Gold Classic Hair Straightners - Argos*
I love how with this set it comes with a protective plate guard to for when you're finished with the straightners. It's so handy especially for when you travel with them too. I also love how this design is gold plated. It looks so sleek, so new and so stylish.

One thing I love to do with straightners is create waves with them. I find it quite difficult sometimes to curl or wave my hair with my Max Styler but with this straightner it's a piece of cake. You can create curls in seconds with these straightners and waves in even less. I love creating a more 'natural' looks with hair straightners.
What do you think of GHD's? Do you own a pair?

One thing I'd love to focus on this year is 'budget' type outfits. I think a good outfit should be inter changeable and that you can wear the items more than once. So this year I'm going to do a lot more outfits to do with finding good fashionable outfits on a budget! Starting with this combo which will cost you a little under £30 (with a student discount!)

Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
This bralet crop top is a firm favourite of mine and it genuinely goes with so many outfits and can really update your look. I love wearing this top with printed trousers as you can see in this post and it looks fab with high waisted jeans too. I hadn't worn this crop top with a skirt yet and I think it looks amazing with this skirt!
Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
I've teamed this outfit combination with my favourite lipstick from MAC which is lady danger! This is the perfect sort of outfit I'd wear on a night out and have worn on a night out and I've even worn this combination with nude tights and a pair of converse! It's a really comfortable outfit and I really like how not just this top but this skirt can be worn in so many different ways!
Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC - Debenhams
Bralet Crop Top - Missguided(*)
Skirt - Missguided(*)
I love the shape of this skirt and how it fits so well on. I love how it's only £14.99 too it's such a bargain! I think this skirt would look great with any plain coloured crop top but it would also look great during the day too with a blouse and an oversized coat for a day time look with a pair of ankle boots.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear this skirt?

It feels like ages since I've posted an outfit post. I decided that this year I was going to focus on more outfit posts and so here it starts! I've always been a fan of Rare London and I've noticed that recently they've got some really nice pieces in and so many nice Playsuits and Jumpsuits by Rare London including this jumpsuit which is only £35!
Lady Danger Lipstick by Mac - Debenhams
Black and Cream Silk Jersey Jumpsuit - Rare London(*)
Black wedges - Ebay (Similar Here)
I didn't think I'd love this jumpsuit as much as I do. It's such a gorgeous material and fits like a glove. I think this is the sort of piece you can add to your wardrobe and it will fit in well. I think it looks great with a bright red lipstick my favourite at the moment is Lady Danger by MAC (it's amazing!) and a pair of wedges. I think this is a bargain at only £35 and you can wear it in so many different ways!

I'd wear this during the day with a pair of chelsea boots and a leather jacket. To make this jumpsuit perfect for evening wear I'd put on a bright red lipstick and a pair of black heels or wedges! I think it's a great piece to wear on a lazy day too if you just want to feel that little bit more glamorous!

What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear this jumpsuit?

Uh oh it's that time of the year again when you open your wardrobe and you're just fed up with everything which is inside. Hands up who has done this recently?! I'm always into finding new ways to wear items I already own and I think this time of the year is good to make that small investment in an item or a couple of items you'll wear or use a lot in the coming months! (at least till spring is over anyway!)
So I thought I'd talk you all through a guide of which key items helped me through my first year of university (this could help with college too I'm just thinking about a student budget!) So I've picked out what would be my style essentials and which key items helped me last year!

Carmex Lip Balm (£2.49 from Missguided)
You can get this lip balm from pretty much any beauty shop/drug store and it's an absolute lifesaver. I seem to have one of these in pretty much all my handbags and I don't go anywhere without it. It's perfect to apply just before lipstick but also on the days you want soft lips without any lipstick on too!

Batiste Dry Shampoo (£2.99 from ASOS)
This product is every woman's saviour. I used to love a bit of dry shampoo after a night out if I got up late! I carry a small one of these in my handbag too for emergencies. You just spray a little at the root if you feel your hair is starting to get a little greasy and it works a treat!

Fur Collar Biker Jacket (£45 from Topshop)
So if you're looking for a stylish jacket which will last then this is your new baby! I have last years version of this jacket and I still wear this pretty much everyday and it's even started the rip at the sides (owh!) but that's a year on mind after some serious wear and tare! It's a real bargain this jacket for the amount of times you're going to wear it and it goes with every single flipping outfit imaginable! I used to live in this jacket especially travelling to and from university the only downside is that it doesn't have a hood!

Mac Lipsticks in Lady Danger & Ruby Woo (£15 from Debenhams)
I didn't think I'd love these lipsticks are much as I do. If you love a matte lipstick and bright lipsticks mac lipsticks are perfect for you. I think these two shades will completely transform your outfit and update a really simple outfit too. If you're having a bad day these lipsticks will certainly brighten up your mood! I know what you're thinking they're a little pricey but just think of how long they'll last you!

Converse White Trainers (£45 from ASOS)
These were my best cost per wear item while I was at university. I bought them with my student discount at schuh and thought oh my gosh £45 on a pair of trainers I don't even wear trainers?! But since that day I've worn them to death. I bought mine 2 years ago now and they've been washed numerous times and been worn on so many nights out so they're getting a little worse for wear now! I wore these a lot when I worked in retail as they're so comfy and they're the perfect pair of shoes if you're on your feet all day too travelling!

Black Joni Jeans (£36 from Topshop)
I always thought Topshop jeans were really overpriced. I don't know why I just did and really didn't think they were worth the money. But over the past couple of years I've found that a classic pair of Topshop jeans will go a long way. I love the 'Joni Jeans' at Topshop as they're classic, easy to wear and stylish. You can wear them during the day but also easily on a night out!

Multi Strap Boots (£45 from Topshop)
I've always found Topshop good for style staples and they have an amazing selection of boots. When I was fashion student I stuck to wearing only a few pairs of shoes and a pair of classic boots was one thing I loved. I love this pair from Topshop as they're on trend, good quality and they don't have a big heel so they're easy to wear. Just imagine how gorgeous these would look with a cute pair of frilled ankle socks...IMAGINE!

Red Fluffy Jumper (£34 from Topshop)
For the past few months fluffy jumpers have been my best friends. You may have seen me wearing a pink one with a leather skirt here and with tartan leggings and also my blue fluffy jumper with my pvc skirt here! I absolutely love this fluffy jumper trend. They look amazing with high-waisted trousers, leggings and jeans but also with skirts and even denim shorts too and they're a great cover up over a dress. I love my Missguided blue one but it's not as good quality as the one I have from Topshop which I've washed goodness knows how many times! So if you're going to purchase a fluffy jumper to add to your wardrobe it's worth splashing out a little on a Topshop one!

I really hope you've all liked this different style of blog post! What are your current student style essentials? What can't you go without at the moment? Let me know in the comments!

It's 2014 already WHAT?! I feels like 2010 was just yesterday. I'm currently ill again (boo) and it's pouring with rain all day so outfit posts have been an impossible task! One thing I would love to do more this year is outfit posts and that's definitely going to happen! I've been scouring the internet for my current fashion favourites which are still in stock and the next items on my must have wishlist!

Tartan Playsuit - Motel
Mega Cut Out Buckle Boots - Topshop
Check Leggings - Topshop
Soft Tan Bag - Marc B
Small Spot Scrunchie - Topshop
Vintage Mom Jeans - Topshop
Coral Slip Dress - River Island
I'm a sucker for anything tartan at the moment and this playsuit from Motel is gorgeous! I just keep thinking how perfect it would look with a cute pair of ankle boots and a leather jacket! I'm a massive fan of tartan leggings and I've had my eye on this Topshop pair for weeks. They'd look gorgeous with an oversized jumper or with a faux fur gilet like this one! I am the biggest fan of Marc B bags but i'm yet to add a tan coloured Marc B bag to my collection I just keep thinking what a beautiful handbag this would be! One type of jeans I've really loved this past year and that the 'Mom Jeans' from Topshop. I think this vintage pair would look amazing with chelsea boots and a vintage blouse. I love a slip dress and this coral one from River Island is gorgeous. This dress would look great with simple black court heels and a statement necklace!

What do you think of my picks? Which item would you add to your wishlist?

I only realised recently how similar my style was to Perrie's! I remember posting about the Missguided Ramona Trousers in this outfit post and then seeing Perrie in pretty much the exact same outfit a few days later! I love how she wears high street most of the time and is always rocking some online retailers too! (woop woop to Missguided!)
(L-RFedora Hat,Floral Print Contrast Collar Top,Gingham Aline Skirt,Black Fluffy Crop Jumper,Ramona Square Trousers in Black & Ramona Square Trousers in White)
I love all of these items I've found to steal Perrie's style with. My favourite being the Ramona Trousers (suprise suprise) The floral shirt she's wearing and the tartan skirt are both out of stock on Topshop & River Island but I've found the next best things! I think she's definitely one to watch for 2014 as her outfits always seem to be really on trend but also that little bit different! and hands up who's excited for the Little Mix/One Direction wedding?!
What do you think of Perrie's Style?

It feels a bit weird saying to people that I've been blogging 4 and a half years. I've only really blogged as a hobby until much more recently I thought about focusing more on my blog. It's been tough I'm not going to lie to you all and I think so many people don't realise how hard blogging actually is. (I have email meltdowns a lot) and how much effort and jotting of ideas, ripping of magazines does it take to come up with that 'bright idea' for a blog post.

It's a new year and for 2014 there's so many goals I've been setting myself. It's not an easy thing blogging but I do really enjoy it. I'm going to be launching a 2nd blog (sometime soon) this year as I've found myself being really interested in lifestyle posts but also beauty too so I'm really excited about that. I'd like to travel more this year and I'm going to be going back to university this year to study which I'm excited about! There's been so many blogging highlights this year my favourite being going to Copenhagen with Lucy & Amy. Meeting Henry Holland and Giles Deacon and seeing Pixie Geldof at a party me and Lucy went to was pretty crazy! I also loved going to Parklife festival with Boohoo and loved all the Next events and of course London Fashion Week and Vogue's Fashion Night Out too.

As for 2014, I'm in two minds about starting a youtube channel properly as I think blogging is more realistic and to the point. But it's something I have in mind. I'm definitely making Fashion-Train more fashion focused in the coming months and that will be loads easier once I've launched blog number two! I'm going to make a blogging schedule too as I just seem to post super sporadically and I'd like to be more organised! I think running two blogs will be really exciting as I love blogging on the whole and the amount of opportunities it's given me these past 4 years has been insane and I'm still quite a young blogger too as I'm only 19! I'm really excited to what 2014 has in store blogging wise and if there's anything you'd like me to do on fashion-train or anything you'd like to see me blog about please leave a comment below!
