The Duchess of Cambridge was recently voted again this year, and it’s no wonder when you consider just how stylish she really is. With her retro yet chic style and incredibly tasteful fashion sense, Kate Middleton is a constant inspiration for ladies all over the nation.
She has some of the best hair around, whether it’s swept up into an intricate up-do, or left down in tousled waves. Here are just a few of our favourite Kate styles:
The Engagement
Photobucket

On 16th November 2010 Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their engagement. This picture is possibly one of the most iconic ones of Kate just after the official announcement, in which her layered hair has been sweetly curled to frame her face.
The Wedding Day
Photobucket

Practically the whole of the UK was watching when Kate Middleton walked down the aisle to marry Prince William. Her wedding dress rivalled Princess Diana’s in terms of style, and her hair elegant hairstyle rounded off the outfit perfectly. She went for a classy half-up half-down style that was topped by the Queen’s Cartier tiara.
Ringlet Curls
Photobucket

Kate’s go-to style seems to be a gently waved look with ringlet curls at the ends, giving it a beautifully old-fashioned vibe that we just love.
Accessorised Up-dos
Photobucket

Kate seemed to take a leaf out of Chanel’s book with this style, which features peal hairpins much-like those seen on the catwalk. The chignon hairstyle perfectly complements the Duchess’ outfit and makes for a great formal up-do. You’ll need lots of hair pins and grips to make this style stay in place though!
Face-framing Fringe
Photobucket

Towards the end of 2012 Kate Middleton debuted her new haircut, which featured a face-framing side fringe. If you want to try out this style without having your hair cut consider investing in a winge (wig fringe).
Kate Middleton is without a doubt a style icon, and her hairstyle choices have much more sway than you might expect. Whether you’re looking to copy her style completely or put your own spin on it, visit Hershesons today to get all the hair help you need.

Daisy Street is soon becoming one of my favourite online retailers! They're clothes are so affordable and on trend and they definitely have the largest selection of disco pants EVER! This blouse with crosses on looks super cool! It's only £9.99 in the sale and would be perfect for day and night wear! I'd wear it in the day with a cardigan or leather jacket and a pair of leggings or jeans and at night I'd get out a pair of disco pants and massive heels! I've fallen in love with these emerald green disco pants! The colour is just amazing and they can easily be worn for day and nightwear! I know these jackets have been around a while now but I've still not jumper on the sequin sleeve jacket bandwagon! I'm tempted to treat myself! (eek!) Everyone loves nail polish right?! Especially glittery nail polish and how gorgeous are these Barry M colours?! I'm still yet to own a sequin dress in my life and this black one seems perfect to wear year after year!

Good news for dancewear lovers: retro vibes in pop culture bring dancewear back to fashion. There are multiple examples for you to get inspired by. Such pop divas as Katy Perry, Lily Allen, Christina Aguilera, and Gwen Stefani rock retro outfits from day to evening. Madonna and J Lo showcased dancewear in their numerous videos but the stage and training studios are not the only places to wear dance clothes to. If you are waiting for an occasion to sport your fashionable dancewear, today is the perfect day as the 80s are back in fashion. Besides, dancewear retailers offer plenty of options to mix and match including loose crop pants, leggings, hoodies, tank tops and a lot more. Take a step further by following the tips below.
• Wear urban dance elasticated mesh long-sleeved tops teamed with jeans and ballet pumps when going out with friends. They are available in eye-catching pink, yellow and black and go perfectly with skinny jeans. Comfortable ballet pumps are a great choice for hitting the dance floor.
• Try your leotard with a loose skirt or jeans if you want to look feminine without sacrificing comfort. Add an elegant charm bracelet and heels for a more sophisticated look. Layer a leotard with loose tops and sweaters for a trendy look when running errands.
• Choose jazz pants for shopping with friends. Stretchy jazz pants in black offer maximum convenience and look great with sneakers and layered tops. You can wear your favourite dance pants to yoga or pilates classes as well.
• Leg warmers are also not for the dance studio only. They look great with short skirts as well as shorts and ankle-length boots. Leg warmers are available in numerous colours and designs allowing you to add the fun element to virtually any outfit. Besides, they are irreplaceable during the colder months of the year.

I love wearing them with baggy jumpers and oversized tops. I've teamed the treggings here with my black peplum top. This is a great way to dress up a peplum top whether it's out for a meal with friends, a job interview or just wanting to look a bit more formal!

Rita Ora is definitely one to watch when It comes to who's going to take the style crown next. Having watched styling videos about her on youtube and reading up a little bit about her I think she's more inspiring then ever! I bought her album in the first week it came out and I've loved her ever since. I love how her style changes so dramatically and how she's got a signature look now!
Photobucket

I love how she clashing prints together in what she wears and pulls it off in quirky urban/hip hop kind of way with a beanie hat and trainers! I like how she's not afraid to team casual trainers with a trouser suit and I love how she piles on her accessories! Here are my tips for what I'd buy to achieve Rita's look!
Photobucket1. Guns and Roses T-shirt - Amplified
2. Neon Rib Boyfriend Beanie - ASOS
3. High Top Trainers - ASOS
4. Blanket Contrast Denim Jacket - Topshop
5. 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Roasted Red - Boots
6. White Converse Hi-Tops - Office
7. Black Leather Biker Jacket - New Look
8. Foil Purple Print Skirt - Meemee
To achieve Rita's look you need to have a beanie whether its neon, pink, black, red. You also need a good pair of Hi-Tops & a leather jacket. Pile on all your necklaces and bracelets and save up for that metallic skater skirt! To achieve the ultimate Rita Ora look (if you're feeling more urban) wear trainers, a skater skirt, band tee shirt and a denim bomber style jacket!
What do you think of Rita Ora's style? Do you like it?

I was absolutely delighted when I received an email from Miss Selfridge inviting me to take part in a Miss Selfridge, Bourjois and Toni & Guy Bloggers Challenge to celebrate the launch of Miss Selfridge Get The Look Tutorials! I for one love going out to a party/for a night out so this challenge was right up my street! I had the choice of picking one of three looks to recreate which were Pretty Princess, Rock the Party and Dusk til Dawn. I choose the look of Dusk Til Dawn which is a very gothic but girly and adding a simple red lipstick can help you create a real classic look.
Photobucket
Bourjois Make Up Products
Included...
- Bronze Powder
- Rouge Edition Lipstick in Pretty Prune
- Volume clubbing ultra black mascara
- Smoky Ultra Black eyeliner
- Smoky Eyes Eye palette
- Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
I used the trio eyeshadow to create a dark smokey eye which turned out to be super bold but I am in love with the winged liner look. I used the rest of these products to help me recreate a Dusk Til Dawn make up look as seen in the video tutorial here!
PhotobucketPhotobucket

And Label M Hair Products
which included...
- Blow Out Spray
- Hair Spray
- Dry Shampoo
- Resurrection Style Dust
I used these products to help me create my Dusk till Dawn hairstyle! I am so impresed with these label M products and for someone who uses a can of large hair spray a month, a couple of cans of dry shampoo I'd happily purchase some Label M product from now on because not only does it work better than the cheaper brands but it smells nicer too! I really love the resurrection dust aswell as it livens up your hair so much and gives it more volume perfect for creating a top knot!
PhotobucketPhotobucket
I'm someone who NEVER wears my hair up (as many of you blog readers know by now!) but for this challenge I thought I'd give it a go and create a top knot!
Photobucket
Black Peplum Top - £27
Caviar Beaded Knicker Shorts - £15
Clutch Bag - (now out of stock)
All from Miss Selfridge(*)
For my outfit I picked a style favourite of mine, a peplum top! I was yet to add a black peplum top into my wardrobe and this ones absolutely gorgeous! I love the textured effect as it gives it more shape then just a simple peplum top. When I go out to parties and clubbing now I don't just think 'lets buy a dress' which I can wear once or twice. I pick up items in shops I can wear over and over again in many different ways. I love peplum tops as they are great with jeans, shorts, disco pants, leggings and bodycon skirts or you could even wear them with patterned trousers!
Photobucket
I chose these beaded cavier knicker shorts as the embellishment on them is amaaazing! I loved the gold embellishment on them and how they look so different to a simple pair of knicker shorts and they're now only £15 in the sale! (yay!) I like how these shorts are perfect for creating a party look and make you stand out from the crowd!
Photobucket
I teamed the peplum top and the shorts with this embellished clutch for that extra bit of added glamour!
PhotobucketPhotobucket

I personally love this look as a whole I really didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. I never am daring enough to go for a red lip but it definitely makes you feel that little bit more glamorous and ready to party! This look is very effortless with the hair but a little bit more effect with the make up as a smoky eye is hard to create (my first time of doing one!). I loved taking part in this challenge and it's definitely made me want to be more experimental with my make up choices!
If you want to check out the Pretty Princess, Rock the Party & Dusk til dawn tutorials online which consist of styling/hair & make up videos for inspiration for your next party and how you can change your look you can check them out here!
I've learnt from this challenge that it's okay to be a little bit more daring I hope to rock the 'top knot' and red lippy a little bit more often!
What do you think of this look?
