I think everyone struggles when It comes to proms/leavers balls/weddings/formal events etc. It's always the hardest thing trying to find the right dress, how much are you going to spend, what about shoes, accessories etc?! So when It come to my leavers ball I kept things simple and wore a dress I'd spotted on
AX Paris.
Dress - AX Paris
Shoes - So You Shoes
Bag - MatalanI loved the style of this dress. The dipped hem style is huge this summer! I loved this dress as of the simple embellishment on the waist and how it looks a lot more expensive then It really is too!
I struggled with accessories and what colours to match my dress with but when I saw these heels I couldn't think of a better colour. I found a nude clutch from Matalan (I think it's still available) which matched perfectly too!
It was really good to see everyone and especially what they were wearing and so I thought I'd show you all a few photos from the evening and so you could also take inspiration from what everyone else was wearing to!
I also had a bit of a crazy moment on the day and decided to dye my hair a brighter red in the morning which I love!
It was such a lovely evening and considering the rain all day It was sunny at night!
What do you guys think of my dress? would you stay on a budget for an event like this?
There's so many items I'm lusting over at the moment! I think it's because my exams are over it's now summer and I have a lot of browsing time on my hands!
Here are just a few items which I'm loving at the moment!
Pewter Disco Pants - £29.99 - Glamorous they also now have BLACK disco pants to for £29.99 here.
Khaki Crop Top - £8 - Topshop
Studded Shorts - £29.99 - Glamorous
Gallus print maxi skirt - £42 -Love
Black Crop Top - £8 - Topshop
Black Sculpted wedge shoes - £40 - Runway Shoes
Crochet Vest - £36 - Topshop
American Print Shorts - £23.99 - GlamorousI think it's time for disco pants in a different colour! I currently live in my AA black ones and since I found these in pewter I've been in love! These Topshop crop tops are a recent obsession of mine and I go by the rule of if you wear it a lot in one colour, why not buy it in other colours? (this applies to shoes to!)
This Love skirt has caught my eye for a long time now, I've really never seen a print like it! It's absolutely gorgeous and it's perfect for summer! Everyone thinks the 'moon shoes' are impossible to walk in but I think they'll be fine for the experienced heel walkers... just look at those studs! I wish I was heading off to a festival this summer as that lace top and american print shorts are perfect with wellies for a festival look!
What do you think of these choices? Which item is your favourite?
I think Dr Martens are something you either love or you hate. I knew my mum had a pair when she was younger but I hadn't actually got a pair myself! I knew they were shoes which lasted you FOREVER and that they were so versatile so when I finally got a pair from
Cloggs I was ecstatic!
I thought I'd show you all How I wear docs. I think it depends on your personal style how you want to wear them. I took 10 seperate outfit photos in docs of my ideas and I've settled on 4. I've gone for some 'traditional' ways you'd wear them and some which are a little bit different!
Outfit One: With a Maxi Skirt
Top - Topshop (old)
Maxi Skirt - Topshop
Dr Martens - Cloggs(*)This is quite a casual way to wear Docs. I think it depends on what top you wear with a maxi skirt to how 'dressy' this look can be. I'd wear it with a cardigan in the day and depending on where i'm going on a night out I'd wear it with a leather jacket!
Outfit Two: With Jeans
Top - H&M
Jeans - Topshop
Dr Martens - Cloggs(*)I've teamed my docs with jeans for this outfit to show a casual day to day look. I think this is a great outfit as it looks fab with jeans and stylish but simple!
Outfit Three: With a Crop Top
Crop Top - Topshop
Scarf - ASOS (old)
Disco Pants - AA @ ASOS
Dr Martens - Cloggs(*)As you can see I love crop tops! You will have seen this crop top a few times before and I just love teaming it with everything at the moment! I think it looks great with disco pants and docs for a completely different look. I wanted to look edgy but on trend and I think this outfit does the trick!
Outfit Four: With Disco Pants
Cardigan - Topshop via Ebay
T-shirt - Topshop
Disco Pants - AA @ ASOS
Dr Martens - Cloggs(*)I love this look. This is probably my favourite! I wear this t-shirt all the time as it's probably one of the most versatile tops I own! It's super soft and very slouchy and looks good with everything! I love this cardigan to (again for the slouch factor!) I think this look works so well with docs as it's stylish and comfortable!
These are just a few ways I'd wear Doc Martens! Do you have a pair? How do you wear yours?
Also these exact
Dr Martens are only £69.99 and are IN THE SALE! what are you waiting for?
Okay I need to admit this to you guys... I'm not a huge fan of dresses... I own more playsuits than dresses (fact!) and that's one thing I love about
Love is the wide range of playsuits! I own this playsuit in petrol blue and wear it SO much! I just had to have it in black... it goes
WITH EVERYTHING!
Playsuit - Love(*)
Headband (used as belt) - Topshop
Bag - Aldo
Shoes - So You ShoesI absolutely LOVE this playsuit. I've teamed it up with a headband I have (i never use it as a headband but as a belt!) to add a little bit more glam and shape to the playsuit. I love how the playsuit has long sleeves (perfect for those wintery/not so nice days!) especially on a night out! and this playsuit is perfect for dressing down to with a pair of flat ballet pumps and a jacket!
Depending on how daring you are this dress will look great with bare legs and a pair of chunky ankle boots/heels and mine are bright red and add SO much colour into the outfit and really stand out!
Playsuit - Love(*)
Headband (used as belt) - Topshop
Bag - Aldo
Shoes - So You ShoesWhat do you think of this playsuit? Would you buy an LBP which would last you year after year?
First of all.... exciting news...
NOW ON MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS! yaaaaay!
but second of all back to this post! I was asked to take part in the
Yumi Direct style challenge and how could I refuse?! Yumi are a fabulous brand their clothes are gorgeeeeous!
I was asked to style
this dress for 'a night on the town' and it was quite a difficult challenge!
Dress - Yumi Direct
Jacket - Topshop
Shoes - So You ShoesI styled this dress with my two favourite items in my wardrobe right now which are these boots and my jacket from Topshop!
I think this gives the look a more 'rock chick' edge but is still quite quirky.
It's a colour I wouldn't normally wear myself and I have to say I'm slightly falling in love with this colour! The dress is gorgeous too! It's amazing quality and feels so good too (I love chiffon!)
Dress - Yumi Direct
Jacket - Topshop
Shoes - So You ShoesWhat do you think of this look? Do you like this outfit?
Some of you are probably wondering what Disco pants are... for those of you which don't know their trousers by American Apparel they've been seen on numerous celebrities such as Jessie J, Shenae Grimes, Tulisa & Cher Lloyd.
Disco pants are now known as a fashion bloggers style essential and I wear my black pair to death! I bought mine originally in about January and I bought a size 'Medium' with 10% off which was still very expensive as disco pants are £70! But I returned them. I then saved up for a few months and bought them when
ASOS had 25% off for students I just had to buy them in small!
These are just a few ways I wear my disco pants. I absolutely love my pair! I still paid a lot for them but I figured they'd be worth it in the end and they definitely were as I wear them
ALL the time! & I get so many compliments when I wear them!
A few of you have asked if there's anywhere to get a cheaper version of Disco pants and It took a lot of browsing and hunting but I've found a few pairs for half the price (YAAAAAY!) so you wouldn't be breaking the bank!
1. Hearts & Bows Black Rave Pants - £34.99 - Ark Clothing
2. Love Label High Shine Skinny Trousers in Red - £35 - Very.co.uk
3. Pewter Disco Pants - £39.99 - Glamorous UK
4. Love Label High Shine Skinny Trousers in Midnight Blue - Very.co.ukWhat do you think of these Disco Pants Dupes? I really want the Pewter pair and the midnight blue! And for half the price how can you go wrong?!

I think as a Fashion blogger you take hundreds of outfit posts each year but not all of them you use and show on your blog. I've recently found a couple of outfit posts which have been lost in the hundreds of photos i've taken since!
Hoody - Hearts & Bows at Ark Clothing(*)
Top - Topshop
Shorts - TopshopI think when you're just being lazy around the house, going to the gym or having a general lazy day you need a zip-up hoody. A hoody which is warm good quality and that little bit stylish too! This hoody is a staple of mine. I've had this hoody for a few months now and I can safely say a lot of my friends have bought this hoody or one in a different colour from Ark Clothing is it's such good quality and reasonably priced!
This hoody is currently in the Sale and it's only £12?! I'm a UK size 10 and this hoody is a 10 and it's oversized still and fits perfectly! I've styled this hoody with my favourite striped shorts and a black top for a casual look!
Top - Influence at Ark Clothing
Jeggings - Topshop
Jacket - TopshopThis top is another casual favourite of mine. It's so loose and comfortable and perfect for wearing with leggings & jeggings! I would normally wear this outfit for a just a normal casual day and with boots (instead of loafers) if it's a rainy day!
What do you think of these outfits? Have you got any missed posts?
It feels like I haven't done a 'Ways to wear' post in forever! I woke up this morning with the idea of this post as it's super easy to style a white/black crop top but it's quite hard to style a coloured one! If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll have seen this crop top a few times before but this is some of many ways I would style this orange crop top!
Look Number One: With Leggings
Top - Topshop
Leggings - OMG Fashion(*)
Boots - My 1st WishI think this looks fab for a night out. I was trying to find my striped jeans but couldn't find them so I styled the crop top with these leggings instead!
Look Number Two: With a Leather Skirt
Top - Topshop
Skirt - Ark Clothing
Boots - My 1st WishThis skirt from Ark Clothing is soon becoming a favourite of mine! It actually looks great with everything! I think with a crop top and heels this look is great for an evening/night out! It's great as you can put flats on and make this a casual look too and don't forget lots of jewellery!
Look Number Three: With High-waisted Shorts
Top - Topshop
Shorts - Topshop (last year)
Boots - My 1st WishA crop top teamed with shorts is the perfect summer look with flats or sandals on a summery day you're good to go! I have teamed this crop top with these striped shorts as I think they go fab together! For a night out (depending on the weather) style with tights and ankle boots!
Look Number Four: With a Maxi Skirt
Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Loafers - Linzi ShoesI love wearing maxi-skirts and teaming them with a crop top is a fab look! I would put a cardigan on to (weather permitting) but if you don't want to get your legs out a maxi skirt is a perfect (and glamorous) alternative!
Look Number Five: With Disco Pants
Top - Topshop
Disco pants - American Apparel @ ASOS
Boots - So You ShoesDisco Pants are one of my favourite things to wear they're so versatile! Because they are high-waisted they're great to be worn with crop tops! For day-wear I wear this outfit with flats and a denim/checkered shirt over the top but this look is fab for night-wear to with a leather jacket and heels!
What do you think of these looks? How would you style this crop top?
It's hard to keep everything up and going as a fashion blogger I came across these photos a few days ago and realised I hadn't posted them! I take my outfit photos normally in bulk and these photos have got lost along the way! As you can see they are a few months old as my hair is now a different colour too!
White top - ASOS
Leggings - Ark Clothing
Jacket - Topshop
Boots - Linzi Shoes(*)This is something I'd typically wear on a day to day basis. It's casual and quirky and these leggings from
Ark Clothing are fab! I love aztec print and these leggings are so quirky without being too loud!
White top - ASOS
Leggings - Ark Clothing
Jacket - Topshop
Boots - Linzi Shoes(*)I love my leather jacket and basic tops and to make my outfit that little bit more 'fashionable' these leggings are great! I also live in these boots they're a bargain from Linzi Shoes and there my favourite pair of shoes they're also my 'driving' shoes as whenever i'm driving I'm wearing them and they are soooo comfortable!
What do you think of patterned leggings? do you have a favourite pair of flat shoes?
Have you checked out

Vero Moda blouse and the beaded detailing on this blouse is amazing!
Blouse - Room 31(*)
Skirt - Ark Clothing
Tights - ASOS
Boots - My 1st Wish(*)I teamed this blouse with my leather look skirt from Ark Clothing and my favourite boots from My 1st Wish! I really like this blouse as it's not like any other blouse I own. It's a fab shape and the beaded detailing on the peter pan collar is amazing! I love the shade of grey and how it looks fab wearing disco pants, jeans & skirts!
Blouse - Room 31(*)
Skirt - Ark Clothing
Tights - ASOS
Boots - My 1st Wish(*)I'd probably wear this outfit for a meal out or maybe a party as it's casual but still that little bit glamorous!
I love the beading on this blouse and as you can see it's a very detailed collar!
What do you think of this blouse? how would you style it? have you checked out
